How to Help

One of the hardest things about volunteering from home is deciding what it is you can do and what you want to do. This section is designed to give you ideas of how you can help, and what we need. We keep this section regularly updated to help you help us. If you have a great idea that is not on the list, let us know! Soon we will have a forum to discuss projects and ideas, to help get you on the path to volunteering.

Promotion

  • Speak to your local university about creating a link with us
  • Write a blog about us with a link to the site
  • Distribute Flyers at work, university, school or on the street
  • Design a Flyer Template so volunteer can print off their own flyers
  • Design a Poster
  • Contact your local newspaper or radio about an advert or feature
  • Join our Facebook group or add us as a friend on Myspace
  • Tell your friends to look at our site (send an email)

Fundraising

  • Get sponsored to help our campaign
  • Get in contact with a stationary manufacturer about donating equipment
  • Donate some old childrens books
  • Hold a special event like a pub quiz
  • Ask at work about donating a part of proceeds of a charity day to our campaign
