Internships with Great Aves in Ecuador
Intern Roles
Great Aves offers several internship positions based on interest and ability, two are project based and involve working with the program coordinators and volunteers, while the other is based in Puyo (an hour from the project) and involves working the Global Operations Manager.
Teaching Program Internships:
- Teach and prepare lesson plans for children in grades one through seven.
- Range of subjects: English, science, math, art, music, sports.
- Spanish Speaking skills a must
Community Development Program Internships:
- Opportunity to work on a variety of tasks in several fields, including: agriculture & sustainable practices, community business development, conservative studies and ecological systems.
- Spanish Speaking skills preferred, but not necessary
Organizational and Administrative Internship:
- Based on preference and ability, high level of autonomy to contribute to given organization objectives
- Work closely with Great Aves Operations Manager (based in Puyo)
- Tasks include: marketing, fundraising, web-design, human resource management, networking, operations management.
Summary:
• Eight to twelve week placements
• Hands-on internships onsite of the projects, or administrative internship based in Puyo, Ecaudor.
