Organizational Structure

Roles and Responsibilities:

Board of Trustees:

  • Financial Well-Being of Great Aves
  • Authorizing Financial Transactions
  • Monitoring Organizational Development
  • Employing and Monitoring the Global Operations Manager

  • Ensures organization is meeting its goals, and is working towards its vision and complying with its objectives.
  • Responsible for financial viability of organization.
  • Informing the trustees of the progress and development of the organization, and advising them of any situation arising which is a concern.
  • Recruiting volunteers, ensuring adequate number for projects to run effectively, financially viable.
  • Responsible for ensuring Arajuno Road Project staff fulfilling their roles, project is working in accordance with the vision and objectives of Great Aves.
  • Ensuring GreatAves.org and youvolunteer.org are functioning and updated. Should ensure that Great Aves is well publicized.
  • Project Interns

  • Works with Global Operations Manager/Program staff on respective projects.
  • Works to fulfill given objectives to aid in organizational growth and efficiency.
  • Arajuno Road Project Staff

    Project Coordinators:

  • Day-to-Day running of the projects.
  • Ensure that the volunteers are fully catered for, and the project is achieving its goals in relation to the vision and objectives of Great Aves.
  • Responsible for upholding the reputation of Great Aves with regards to the Arajuno Road Project.
  • Helps ensure the financial stability of project, funds used efficiently to maximize the potential of the project.
  • Ensures that the Assistant Coordinator is fulfilling his or her roles, with regards the projects and relations with the volunteers.
  • Regular reports to the Global Operations Manager
  • Assistant Coordinators:

  • Preparing and delivering lesson plans (teaching program)
  • Identifying and enacting more efficient community practices (community development program)
  • Assists Project Coordinator with his or her duties
  • Helps cater to volunteers
  • Volunteers:

  • Works with coordinators to fulfill project objectives, including: preparing lesson plans, teaching at the schools (Teaching program), identifying areas for more efficient practices in community, educating and aiding community members in improving their practices (Community Development program)
  • Support Processes:

    Home Country Interns:
    Projects based around fundraising and recruitment, and focusing on:
