  • Sponsored Activities - Marathons, Fun Runs etc
  • Book Collection - Ask at work, uni or school for donations of old or unwanted books for our projects
  • Car boot, ebay or Jumble sale - Clear out your closet and help our schools fill their cupboards with equipment
  • Acquire Equipment Donations for our projects - Help us get, uniforms, school and sports equipment

Skilled Help

  • Design a brochure - for our volunteer projects or for corporate sponsorship
  • Web help - SEO help, get us top of the lisitings, php database assistance, spread the word on the web
  • Poster and flyer design - For our volunteer projects and Great Aves

Flyering, putting up posters, and arranging events at your school, university or work to raise awareness about Great Aves, our campaigns or our projects overseas is also needed.

There is no need to be limited to what we suggest here. If there is something you can provide that you think will be of benefit to Great Aves then let us know.

Low-commitment Volunteering

If you would like to help on an ongoing basis, there are low-commitment volunteering options that require a few hours each month.

These tasks include:

  • Helping spread the word about Great Aves online, amongst other non-profits and businesses
  • Keeping our information on the internet up-to-date, and high-profile
  • Longer term fundraising - through businesses or by holding events. This can include running a campaign
  • Skilled web help - Help our web designers run the more complex areas of our website
  • Marketing - Promote Great Aves through the press and media, fairs, events and advertising

Again, don't feel limited to our suggestions, they are there to give you an idea about what we need. The ideas listed in the one-off projects can also be applied to low-commitment volunteering.

Part-time and full-time volunteering

For people looking to spend a few hours a week or more a week with Great Aves. These high commitment volunteer positions are highly rewarding, and give you the chance to work with a fun, motivated and pasionate team.

All of the tasks mentioned in the one-off projects and low-commitment volunteering can be applied to part-time and full-time positions, and volunteers also have the opportunity to take on greater responsibility and bring new ideas to Great Aves.
