Volunteering and Internships

There are a number of ways to help Great Aves in the UK or from Home. We are always looking for people to help Great Aves grow, reach more people, and improve education around the globe. If you are interested in Volunteering Overseas, Donating or Corporate Sponsorship, please visit the relevant pages on the website.

Volunteering from Home

There are many ways to volunteer from home, and help make a big difference to Great Aves and the people we support.

Volunteering can be from one off specific projects, such as brochure design, or one-off fundraising events, a few hours a month, to weekly or daily help. Home volunteers have been the backbone of Great Aves since the organisation started, and continue to be an important part of how the organisation is run.

Internships

For anybody looking to get a job in the charity sector, or looking for experience vital for any career jobs, internships are a worthwhile way to get work experience.

Internships with Great Aves are perfect for people at university looking for experience to get graduate jobs, and people needing to work other part-time jobs to supplement their income.

Great Aves

  • Great Aves was founded in July 2007, initially working with jungle schools in Amazonian Ecuador. The "Arajuno Road Project" opened its doors to volunteers in March 2008, and has currently works with over 500 children.

Volunteering Overseas

  • Great Aves offers volunteer placements overseas, through our overseas volunteering website YouVolunteer. Volunteers get the chance to work hands on at one of our projects, and provide valuable assistance to the schools where we work.
